This guy just can’t keep his foot out of his mouth. It is a shame that a man I once though a honorable and moral rarity in the cesspool of Hollywood would have a sudden turn. Perhaps fame, like power, corrupts mortal man without exception.
From the New York Times:
The filmmaker and actor, fiercely criticized for his anti-Semitic outburst when he was arrested for drunk driving last July, showed the as-yet unfinished movie on Friday, first at a casino and at Cameron University in Oklahoma, where he arrived in wig and disguise, according to The Associated Press. Then he moved on to the Fantastic Fest film festival in Austin, Tex., where he compared the American troop deployment in Iraq to the kind of human sacrifice depicted in his film, about ancient Mayans, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dose this man not know that the majority of his fan base are conservatives, like me, who would naturally be offended? It seems ill begotten to bite the hand that feeds you. Moreover, Mel is derailing his person of reasonable family man.
It is sad and unfortunate, but Mel may soon fine a long list of people refusing to watch his movies.
